This simple launcher provides quick access to frequently used programs and files, but that’s largely the extent of its powers. Sumka QPL’s main interface is tiny, which can be a blessing or a curse depending on your perspective. It’s also not necessarily intuitive, as you have to right-click to add new shortcuts to the launchpad. It’s nice that Sumka will add any program’s official icon to its shortcut, but you have to browse your PC to locate EXE files; newbies may find this process somewhat daunting. A new wizard interface attempts to make the program easier to use, but unfortunately its confusing controls and ungrammatical English are no help at all. On the plus side, we do like that you can skin both the main panel and the buttons, then adjust the interface’s opacity. The program comes preloaded with a small list of shortcuts to Windows Explorer, the Registry editor, the calculator, Notepad, and Paint. You can make a few tweaks to the application’s appearance, but don’t expect any groundbreaking features. Sumka QPL won’t knock anyone out, but experienced multitaskers might take a quick look.
